A Few Songs...
Holy Shit - Written All Over Your Face
This is a track from a collaboration between Ariel Pink and Matt Fishbeck of the Pushkings. I haven't given the whole album a good enough listen, but this track is super catchy.
Turbulence - Notorious
This track will get you fired up and ready to knock some heads. I think it came out a while back, but I just got acquainted with it. It was on Diplo's Fabric mix and Radiohead always played it as the house music after their shows on their recent tour.
Beck - Nausea
This is a new Beck video that is on YouTube, the song is f'n SWEEEEEEETTTT.
Swan Lake - All Fires (via GVB)
I know everyone else posted this a few days back, but I was too lazy to do so at the time. I'm too psyched for the album not to post now though. In what must have been the result of some super sickly hipster kid going all out at the Make-a-Wish Foundation - Dan Bejar (Destroyer) and Spencer Krug (Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown) have teamed up to form a side project called Swan Lake. KUNG FU GRIP (Huebel and Riggle) at UCB-LA!
If you live in LA, you MUST go see Rob Huebel and Rob Riggle's sketch show "Kung Fu Grip." I saw it years ago at UCB-NY and it blew my mind. Seriously, I've rarely laughed that hard, those 2 are so f'n great. Anyway, here's the details, if you don't go, Huebel will ask good friend and Ultimate Fighting Champion Ken Shamrock to hurt your family.
