The Best 4 seconds EVER.

Haha. So my BWE debut was pretty brief. (Quick off the cuff remark on the Bobby Brown reality show - interestingly followed by "Sunshowers" by MIA playing in background - weirdo concidence.) I thought my Tom Cruise line about how history would view this period in his career ("history is a pseudoscience!") would have made the cut. Not to mention my elation over the "Trapped in the Closet" video, but we'll see what happens. It was my first week after all, keep watching and lets keep our fingers crossed for future Aziz exposure.

Aziz Ansari is having... the BEST WEEK EVER!

Well not really, but I am making my 'debut' on the show tonight. I taped my bits yesterday. It was pretty fun, hopefully the stuff I liked best will make it in. It'll be interesting to see what Aziz soundbites they use from the hour or so session of commenting on a thousand things.

The show comes on tonight (Friday) at 11 and then is repeated legit like 10 times over the week. (Here are the other showtimes.)

Will this increased Aziz Ansari exposure translate into more reservations for Aziz Ansari Punched a Wall? Only time will tell...

Beating on Repeat....

I can't stop listening to this song. I had to post it. Jen Daily Refill and Central Village's enthusiasm made me curious to check out Ghostland Observatory and the boys live up to the praise.

Check out Rich Man. (right click and save target as...)

I can't stop rocking out to it. Enjoy.

Shutterbugs!!!!

Last night we screened Shutterbugs (Rob Huebel and I's short film) at Channel 102 and we were a huge hit! We ended up being the highest rated show of the evening!

Watch the video (15 MB Quicktime file)

Special shoutout to Jason Woliner, our ridiculously talented director/editor and also to the fellas at CollegeHumor.com for lending us their offices.

R-Kelly is a genius...

If you have not seen the video for R. Kelly's "Trapped in a Closet" you are seriously missing out on some funny shit. Here are some real lyrics from the end of "part 1":

"He walks up to the closet! Real close up to the closet! Now he's at the closet! Now he's opening the closet!!"

The video for part 2 is also amazing, with a hilarious surprise twist ending.

Catch the action at R-Kelly.com.

Shutterbugs at Channel 102...

Tonight at 8:00 pm at the UCB Theatre, Rob Huebel and I will be unleashing our recently shot pilot for Channel 102 based on our characters from the "Shutterbugs" bit we did at Invite Them Up and Crash Test. (This is that really funny thing I promised last week.) I'm really proud of it and can't wait for audiences to see it.

Channel 102 is an offshoot of an LA show where they screen 5 minute television shows for a live audience. The audience votes on their favorites and those come back the next month with new episodes.

The last screening I went to was a blast. You can watch shows from the old screenings at the Channel 102 website.

My favorite 102 type show I've seen is one from the original Channel 101 in LA, its called "The Bu'" - its an OC parody that got passed around a little bit a few months back, if you missed it - here it is. I've watched the first 7 or so episodes, and they are pretty darn funny.

Make a reservation for the 102 screening featuring the debut of "Shutterbugs" here.

Weighing in on Clap Your Hands Say Yeah...

I guess I have to make some sort of comment on Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Everybody adores these folks. BV even declared their album his fav for 2k5 -- before the Pitchfork 9.0 no less!

I listened to the album this week and its very good, I'm not sure I'm ready to thrust it in to the top 5 of 2005 region yet, but I'm enjoying it.

Here's an MP3 for you to decide.
